Disaster Preparedness Programmes

The recent devastating floods in Kerala, the North-East and many other states, remind us the urgent need to arm ourselves with disaster preparedness. Utkarsh is always in the forefront to help those who affected and we have been on the field working towards flood relief and rehabilitation. We also aim to conduct further awareness programs to educate citizens regarding disasters.

Till date we have tried to help people in distress in Natural Calamities:

  • Nepal’s earthquake – In May 2015, Utkarsh’s team comprised with 12 to 14 members visited Nepal along with 2000 kg rice, packed food and first aid medicines to help the victims of Nepal’s earthquake.
  • Maharashtra’s Drought Calamity – From January to June 2016, Maharashtra was facing a drought situation which was severe, especially in Beed district. Utkarsh adopted 10 villages in Beed district, Taluka Wadavani where we provided 18,000 liters’ water by Tankers to help the human and animal distress.
  • Drought Relief Project @ Beed-2019 - We are happy to share with you the review of the drought relief activities we undertook in Maharashtra. Adopted 5 drought-stricken villages in Beed District.
