Animal Welfare Movement

Utkarsh Global Foundation have established an Animal Hospital in Mulund with the objective to offer care, treatment and rehabilitation of stray animals. Our animal welfare movement is recognized by the Animal Welfare Board of India. We conduct different programs such as treatment of stray animals, animal birth control- sterilization and immunization of stray animals and work towards rabies prevention.

Every month approximately 2000 animals like dog, cat, horse, donkey, buffalo, cow, monkey and birds get free treatment and vaccination in our animal hospitals located in Mulund. According to the latest statistics, we have sterilized around 20,000 dogs and vaccinated around 18700 dogs.

The hospital also has a Diagnosis center that exclusively works for stray animals. We also provide animal ambulance services that works exclusively for stray animals.

In addition, Utkarsh feeds hundreds of stray animals on a daily basis. Through our various animal welfare initiatives, we expect to bring harmony between human – animal relationships. One of the strongest initiatives taken by Utkarsh is Feeding Drive for Stray Animals. Stray animals, especially dogs depend on garbage food, however, sometimes they turn aggressive when they get super hungry and tend to attack humans. Our feeding drive for stray animals is carried out with the objective to reduce human-animal conflict and to ensure that they can live life with peace. Recently, we introduced an event called “Stray Together” where we attempted to minimize the human-animal conflict by addressing the issues and queries of residents regarding stay animals.
